About

I believe that one of the things God has gifted me with is the ability to write. Of course, I don’t just mean that I have an ability to write like someone else has the ability to read or ride a bike. He has given me talent (REAL talent, I don’t know–you decide) to arrange words in a way that inspires or grabs readers. This is my first truly public attempt at sharing my gift with the rest of the world. It’s a testing of the waters for me so I hope that it’s a comfortable temperature for you to dive in. Don’t be afraid to get wet, let me know what you think!

Okay, Brian, I am going to follow your blog for awhile and I’ll let you know what I think. I too feel that the Lord has gifted me with writing, in the same sense as you describe, and at 57 I am still writing and speaking about life in Christ, without even so much as an English major in my college resumé. I discovered you just today from a comment you left on Andrew Mill’s blog. I think that Andrew is a potential 21st century Church father. I already have identified one or two more like him in my cyber-vicinity. Perhaps you will be another. If you want to sample my writing, I think my blog address will be hyperlinked to my name. I actually also have a “hidden blog” called Taka’s Japan. Hidden because I’ve never finished it, or carried it through, just too busy, or maybe just God’s will. The link to that other blog is: http://taka-no-nihon.blogspot.com/2008/06/first-night-in-nagoya.html

Anyway, as I said, I will be reading and getting back to you. Don’t be put off by appearances. From God’s point of view, we’re all in the same generation—the last!

    Go with God, my brother.

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog! Love the name of your blog! 😛

  9. Hey Brian – thanks for commenting on my blog – that’s mostly how I find all the other awesome blogs I want to check out!

Yours is great….and I really enjoy your writing style…I, too, feel God has gifted me in the area of writing, and like you, am using wordpress as my first public trial. Good luck and may God bless your obedience here!

    I’ll be back!

  10. PS – added you my blogroll so I can check often!

  11. You were found while browsing The Christian Ranter’s blog, and I’m happy to spend some time here.

Writing is definitely a gift, and can be a strong influence on those who read what you have to say. Blogging is a good tool to use which can affect lives all over the world.

May the Lord bless what you do, and help you be salt in our world.

  12. I would to become a better writer. Any suggestions? Books to read?
