No Vacancy

Luke 2:6-7 The Birth of Jesus Part 2

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Shopping, traveling, Christmas programs, holiday parties, baking, visiting family, gift exchanges––the busyness of life, especially around the holidays, easily distracts from the true meaning of life, the reason for the season. Have you put a “no vacancy” sign on your heart this season? Is there room left for Jesus? Or rather, is there room for anything else? Often during Christmas, it seems that we push our Lord and Savior to a seat in the back of the auditorium when in fact He should be center stage. Don’t forget to make Jesus the priority in your Christmas plans.
